Lease Radar (myleaseradar.com) helps students find rentals in Bloomington, Indiana. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- If you just browse or search: we don't ask for anything and we don't use accounts. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as the page requested and the time) to run and protect the site.
- If you sign up for email alerts: your email address, the search filters you chose (like bedrooms, budget and walking distance), and when you confirmed and when we last emailed you.
- To stop abuse of the sign-up form: we briefly use your IP address to limit how many sign-ups can come from one place in an hour. We don't store it with your email.
How we use it
- To send the confirmation email that turns your alerts on, and then the alerts you asked for: new listings, price drops and date changes that match your search.
- That's it. We don't sell your email, we don't share it with landlords, and we don't send ads to it.
Services we use
- Railway hosts the site and its database.
- An email delivery service sends our emails, so it handles your email address when we send to you.
- When you open our pages, your browser also loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap, the map library from unpkg, and fonts from Google Fonts. Those services can see your IP address, as with any website that uses them.
Cookies
We don't use cookies for tracking or advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your email and saved search while your alerts are on. If you never confirm a sign-up, the confirmation link expires after 7 days. When you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you right away.
Your choices
- Stop emails: every alert email has an unsubscribe link.
- Delete your data: email privacy@myleaseradar.com and we'll delete your email address and saved searches.
Listing information
Rental listings come from property managers' public web pages. They describe properties, not visitors to this site.
Children
Lease Radar is meant for college students and other adults, and isn't directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
